How To: Prepare baking pans

Recipes never tell you what to use or how to prepare your pans for baking. You can use butter, cooking oil or non stick spray such as PAM. Use a pastry brush and brush the oil or butter in all of the pan, be sure and brush in the corners. Put a small amount of flour in the pan and shake around until the pan is completely dusted. How To: Season and protect a cast iron skillet with oil

Cast iron skillets are the original non-stick "Teflon" coating. An iron skillet seasoned properly will keep food from sticking, and its is great for browning and easy to care for. And good cast iron cookware will last a life time. Cast iron skillets have been handed down from generation to generation. Rita's favorite cast iron skillet was handed down from her mother and is at least 100 years old.

How To: Use a popcorn machine

Check out this how-to video to learn the correct way to operate a popcorn machine. Make sure you always unplug your popcorn machine before you do any kind of cleaning. It will take about three or four minutes before your pop corn is finished popping. When the corn is almost done popping, grab the handle and dump the kettle. You will want to dump in twice to make sure all the popcorn has fallen out of the kettle.
